Kobo Glo HD screen tilted?

Hi all,

I got my new Kobo Glo HD today and noticed that the screen is leaning slightly to the left. I cannot stop noticing it. It's driving me insane. I'm wondering if anyone knows is it safe to take off the back and just readjust the screen? Is it even possible? I doubt kobo would take it back for something like this.

Any help?

Here is a pic of the ereader: http://i.imgur.com/S6L5TAJ.jpg. You can see at the top left that the screen is tilted to the left ever so slightly.

That would drive me nuts to read on, it's clearly put together badly, I'd consider it a defect. I'd call Kobo and explain the problem and get them to exchange it for a good one.

The screen in my Glo HD is slightly tilted as well. But, it is only noticeable if I try to line the shadow cast by the bezel with the edge of the text. And even then, it is less than a millimetre difference down the side of the screen. Just enough to see when I look for it.

Yours is a lot worse and if I had that, I would take it back.

Definitely exchange it, that's not acceptable. I had a Kindle Paperwhite with the same issue and exchanged it. It drove me mental.

Oh gosh, yes, I wouldn't call that "slightly"! Very obvious defect, should be no trouble at all exchanging it. Do not open it - you'll void your warranty.

If I had to read on that I would probably lose my mind and start visiting ebook web sites - that's how crazy I'd get!

Take it back and get one that's better.
