Sigil crash
i wish to edit an ebook, but constantly sigil crash. With calibre i open the ebook but it's impossible to export to any ereader.

Sounds like your ePub has obfuscated fonts and the key is missing.

Moderator Notice This is a Calibre Error, not Sigil. Moved to Calibre JS had the idea. Try deleting the fonts. Make a backup FIRST With the book selected In the Main Calibre: Tap 'U" (unpack): Explode: remove the font files (TTF/OTF): Rebuild Then fix any remaining errors using the editor |

The issue wit. error condition handling is the designer needs to anticipate all those possible conditions in advance
![]() This issue may have been aggravated by use of other automated cleaning tools, that cleaned too much. Again, the author needs to anticipate what NOT to clean. I prefer to be shown and asked 'use this fix?' for each type like Kovid does in the editor validation tool. |
