Android Tablet suggestions

Currently I have a Nexus 7 (2012), and the wife has (or had) a Kobo Arc 7 HD.

Reason I said HAD is that it's decided to die; she told me it had been getting slower and slower, and today is stuck in the Recovery menu, with whatever we try doing there, when it reboots it returns too the recovery menu.

[Yes; i can get ADB to see the device, and if I can track down an image for it will try loading it].

Asking her what she'd like to replace it, she knows I've been happy with the Nexus 7 (although to be honest it is getting a bit slow these days).

Yes I've been able to track down a retailer in town that has the Nexus 7 (2013) in stock, but I'm wondering what other tablets people think highly of, and ideally (in my opinion) run a fairly stock version of Android, and, is from a manufacturer who will continue supporting the device.

Would like a 7" screen, Android 5.x (or at a pinch 4.4).

My wife had the 2012 and I swopped it for the 2013 as it is easier to charge.

It was always a struggle getting the USB to 'mate' in her desk stand/charger. The 2013 uses wireless charging.

I have the Samsung 7.7, which was the first to use AMOLED, but these are discontinued now and probably hard to find.

Get her a Nexus 2013. I don't think you'll find better value for money.

We found a Nexus 7 (2013) this afternoon. Now to see how she likes it.

I have a similar charger for mine, Tony. I wish I had more devices that could use it!

I fitted a special receiver inside my Samsung s4 phone. Works fine.
