Is there an option to NOT display the number of books in the Calibre library at the bottom of the screen?

@mitch13 - not that I know of, but why would you want to that?

And what would you gain by doing that: Nothing.

The 'status line' is still used for the 'views' buttons and Jobs status

You lose the indication that some sort of data restriction is in play
[a of bb books, z selected]
