Black or Red Sony T3 with no cover (REFURBISHED) is selling at $39.98 in Factory Direct in Canada.

It comes with 90 day warranty from the seller. Warranty can be extended to 1, 2, or 3 years by paying $4, $8 or $12 respectively.

In case of warranty, Factory Direct will repair or replace your T3. When out of stock, they give you store credit of the original purchase price.

I don't like that chain. I find them to be dirty, dingy, poorly run and they don't take care of their stock. The few I've been in I've seen majorly damaged packaging and people being allowed to rip open boxes to look at goods.

Why do you need to open it if it was new & sealed? Why do you have to rip the packaging and why does the staff not stop it?

I won't shop there. And what good is a replacement or extended warranty if they're not made any more? Sony isn't going to repair it and store credit for a shoddy store that doesn't have anything I want in a condition I want is not appealing to me.

How about MTC Clearance Centre (Manufacturing & Technology Centre) in Whitby, Ontario? Do you have an experience visiting or dealing with them?

They offer quite a reasonable price of refurbished PRS-T3 ($79.99 with snap cover and 1 year warranty). I am very tempted to ask my sister to buy it for me and then carry it with her the next time she flies back to visit the family.

No I'm sorry I don't Itisbomb but tell your sister to go to Shoppers Drug Mart. They apparently have the T3 - no cover, for $59.99 brand new. A much better deal than a refurb if you ask me.
