Access/download old pdb files stored in fictionwise ereader app on iPhone?
This is my 1st post so please bear with me if I get protocol wrong. Pls help. I've been reading ebooks since my 1st palm pilot in '96. Most pdb files are safely on laptop and in calibre (great programme) including all my mobi files.
But there are about 40 books (pdb) which I loaded direct from fictionwise website to ereader on iphone and can't now access due to no way to see files on ios? Any suggestions (clearly I should have saved to computer at the time - did not anticipate fictionwise being shut down, a lesson learnt). Is there an iOS file browser that might access these files? ![]() |

Hi Jack, Harry
Thats right - the DRM is based on my credit card number but I have already managed to sort that with other ebooks from Fictionwise following notes online. The key thing is whether I can actually get to the files. Any suggestions? When I look at the iphone through Itunes, I can see the ereader app but not see any of the files from within the app. Thats why I thought maybe a file browser that can find files within the iphone itself? |

All you can really do is to try installing an iOS file browser program on your PC, and see what's visible on the device. Some apps store their data as separate files; some don't. I've used a file browser to successfully transfer music off an iPhone.

Great - all contributions much appreciated. Managed to get almost all of the books off my iphone and converted for use on other book readers - great call. Many thanks
