Smith, E.E. "Doc": Spacehounds of IPC. 19 April 2008
One of the first scifi books I read (after Jules Verne.) It was in a bag of paperback books my uncle gave me one summer. I have forgotten the rest of the books, but never this one. It is a quick read and a fun read.
Doc Smith held a PhD in chemistry and one of the first true modern scifi writers. The original story appeared in 1931 in the July, August, and September issues of Amazing Stories. I have removed the story summaries that appeared at the start of the second and third part of the original publication as they are not needed for the book form. The illustrations were not available and references to them have also been omitted. Italics have been preserved. I was working on some Doc Smith titles and noticed that I had not posted this in IMP format before. Sorry about that omission. |
