Card A (2 books) how to bulk erase duplicate on device?
Hi everyone,

I send to device quite a few files, and then changed the metadata for some of them (author, title changes).

I now have a long list of files showing "Card A (2 books)" in the "on device" column of Calibre.

When I right click and choose remove; remove from device; I see the two different files.

How to display in calibre the "on device metadata" to select the ones I want to remove.

at least 2 ways to do this (Very little in Calibre only has one way of doing )

Click the on device column head to sort (there are other ways to set the sort): Select all 2books: Right-click on the selection: Delete matching books from device:
(tip) Click the Date column (sorts by date): Locate todays (assumes the same day of the latest ADD) date: remove the tick (you want to KEEP the latest)
keyboard speed trick. After removing the first tick, LEFT Arrow:

[Begin]
down Arrow: spacebar
[Repeat] till last

Or if you wanted to keep only the ones on the SD card you could remove the card, delete the books and put the card back in.

Coincidentally I had this happen this morning with 78 books saying cardA 2 books.

As I was not actively reading any of these books, I decided to delete them all and put them back on. I selected them and then selected remove selected books from device leaving them all checked. In all but one case it only removed one copy. Not sure what is up with that.
