Screen broken, need help to uninstall the hacks before sending it back to amazon

Hello. This is my first post here. I broke my kindle today, and amazon, even after i aknowledged unproper care of the unit (it had dropped from my bed onto a hard floor) ofered to replace it for free. They are very kind, but thing is i had just before installed a few hacks i didnt even know how to use (and still dont know). Those hacks are the hijack, the launchpad and the media player. I still havfe the uninstallers in the drive. The screen is busted, but the kindle still works reproducing audio and other stuff, so i need someone to get me a few screenshots so that i can navigate blindly to get to the update the kindle command and activate it. Before doing that I only need to put the uninstallers in the root directory right? I dont want amazon forfeiting my waranty because they found unauthorized software.

Id gladly do that, but i dont know how to do it either. Any advice on that would be most welcome (specially if it comes with screenshots).

That will re-install a "factory stock" firmware image + plus a couple of small files that mean nothing to Amazon. Note: Amazon usually ships the replacement before they even receive yours. | |

Personally, I wouldn't bother. I doubt it's worth their time and effort to repair the unit, which they would have to do to see whether it's hacked (which I doubt they do, either). They're more likely to recycle/trash it.

+1 this.... I can't believe Amazon is going to do anything except toss it in the shredder. Not economically worth their time to refurbish.
