				Calibre V 0.9x behavior change

In the v 8 series, Calibre would keep my conversion settings between sessions, i.e, Look & Feel, epub Output, etc. When I upgraded to the v 9 series (when the Subset Fonts feature was added), it no longer keeps my settings. Is this a new behavior in the software, or am I doing something wrong? Must I change some setting in the Preferences dialog? or maybe an INI file? This is a very minor thing, but I am wondering why it changed. Thanks for any advice! |

There have always been two levels of retention for the settings. Global settings are retained via the main set of preferences. Then there are per book settings which if you alter a setting while converting a specific book are stored for that specific book if you choose to convert the book again. | |

I would describe the books, 'Saved Conversion setting' as whatever setting was in effect during the conversion (includes on start conversion screen overrides). Over time, I have refined my overall settings (in Preferences). Any book that was done prior to the change, retains the old setting UNLESS I click/tick the Restore (to current) Defaults option on the conversion start screen. |

But I could swear, that previous versions would let me make and keep settings from the Conversion dialogs directly. I don't think I ever set those up in Preferences, only in Convert Books. And they stayed put. Maybe I'm having one of those senor moments. Thank you to all who responded, and so sorry for the false alarm! |
