505 with Blackberry Charger

Noticed my Blackberry charger fits my 505 and wonder if it's be safe to charge it.

My Blackberry charger consists of a USB cable, identical to the Sony USB cable. This cable is attached to a plug. So, I'm thinking I can use this to charge my 505. Thoughts?

The charger works fine BUT you need a PSP/Reader compatible cable (the round plug not the mini USB) such as this (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.65). It is widely available from many sources.
