adding series information to a book title - a quick question

Does this metadata plugboard:

{series}{series_index:0>2s|-|-}{title}

to add series information to a book title on your device only change the name for kindles, or does it work for other devices too?

I use one very close to that on my Kobo

{series:re(([^\s])[^\s]+(\s|$),\1)}{series_index:0>2s| - | - }{title}

Of course, you also do need to specify the format / device and destination field in the plugboard.

wow, that one is much more complex than mine - what does it translate out to? (I don't speak code).

All mine does it to extract the first letter of each word in the series name, and use that.

So for instance, "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" book 2 in "Chronicles of Narnia" comes to my Kobo as "CoN - 02 - The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe".
