Does any one out there know if a genuine Sony mains charger for a PRS500
can be used for the PRS600

Far as I've learnt from MR , if the ends fit, it's 99% OK to use any charger on any device - except Appley things, I believe.

If this ain't so tell me, please, but I've been OK so far just grabbing the nearest....

Incidentally, the same applies to PC to device leads - if it fits, its OK.

Not an answer to the question per se, but I've picked up a few (in case one or more packs up) USB power adapters on eBay for $1.50-2. All work just fine, none have packed up so far and all are 5V/1A and charge my 950 in no time at all.

Below are a few links to the models I've bought. All are EU models, but the same devices with US plugs are easy to find.
