reading pdf on smartphone

Can one read pdf ebook on smartphone? I mean such a small screen.

sigh...I found this ebook site....they sell ebook, but they separate into two forms. The form I need for reading on my eRead is pdf, but they have another form that can read on smartphone. I don't want to double buy my ebooks. I wish to buy one and can read on both my eRead and future smartphone.

PDF is not an eBook format, and should be avoided like the plague on portable devices. PDF is a digital representation of a printed page of a fixed size - generally A4 or Letter. It can only sensibly be viewed on a screen that's the same size as the page that it's formatted for.

For eBooks you should be aiming for a reflowable format, such as ePub or Mobipocket. Reflowable formats will adjust themselves to whatever size screen they're being viewed on.

Yes, ePub is an excellent format. Lots of reading apps available for Smartphones.
