				deleting annotations

I am wondering if it is safe to delete annotations by simply deleting the file from the folder while you have your reader connected? Or will this cause problems? For some reason the Reader application does not offer me the ability to delete annotations, only to export them--the "delete" option is grayed out.

They're just xml files, so I can't imagine it hurting anything. I've done it before and had no ill effects.
