Ah. A smartphone. With some features. How exciting. So what's the over/under on the time it takes for this thread to become a Android vs. iOS slugfest? |

That all looks pretty cool. I rather like the camera functions, personally.

That is a very cool feature. One of my favorite features, as little as it is, is the text selection and spell checker. This is something I really missed from my BB days. I'm excited to have it back as it will make writing text much much improved. Um... You just started it. |

Perhaps by this time next year there'll be a tablet with this that interests me. Trying to get at least 9-10 months out of my Sony. |

Before cut/copy/paste was awkward at best. It did work but inconsistent across apps. Basic apps it was no problem. But apps that enabled a lot of editing linke email and word processors had to implement their own solution. The cut/copy/paste API now is unified across all fronts and acts more like MS Word. You just select the text and a menu comes up to cut/copy text. To re-arrange the text just drag and drop it. Also on spell checker you just select the word and it will drop down a menu of suggested words. =X= |

BTW I don't think you'll last 10mo. With quad cores, ICS, and HD screens around the corner hm hm temptation will be too great. I agree they made a lot of little tweaks when summed up will make the experience excellent. Last edited by =X=; 10-19-2011 at 02:38 PM. | ||

I only care if they stick to their word and keep Android open source like it ought to be - none of this Honeycomb "oh, but it won't look good on other devices" nonsense. Provided that happens, looks like a much-needed facelift. My ole' Incredible runs 2.2 with HTC Sense, and I can't say I have any complaints. For a smartphone, it's quite tough and it does what I want it to well. But when I'm up for an upgrade, it'll be nice to see some slicker Android OS's out there. |

i wish i could get this since the google branded phones arent infected with nearly the amount of bloatware that most verizon phones are infected with (no other carrier covers rural wisconsin) i tried a motorola bionic for a week from verizon and it had 60 preloaded apps that were unremovable without voiding warranty Verizons massive amount of bloatware is the only thing keeping me from an android phone.
