can the unlock slid be avoid?

after update to 2.2, i have to slid the unlock bar everytime before use it. is there a way to remove the step?

Also, any protect film for the screen? now lots of fingerprint on the screen. thanks.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to bypass the swipe bar.

As far as screen protectors, one of the forum members (mokel22) put together an excellent thread on that very subject.

"No lock" from android market stops slidelock but sounds like a hassle to get it from market to an edge.

This is No Lock 1.03. (click) Tested and works fine so far on my PE.

EDIT: Thanks for asking this question. It occurred to me that this is something that annoys me too, although I probably wouldn't have noticed that I WAS annoyed if you hadn't said something.
