Convert Epub to Pdf error with Calibre 0.8.18

Has anybody experienced this error when converting to pdf with Calibre 0.8.18 :

"Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages/calibre/gui2/__init__.py", line 315, in dispatch
File "site-packages/calibre/gui2/actions/convert.py", line 177, in book_converted
Exception: Empty output file, probably the conversion process crashed"

I'm running it on Ubuntu 11.04 and no conversion to pdf works.
Any suggestion?

I'm guessing you installed Calibre from the Ubuntu repository. The various package repositories aren't supported by the Calibre team because the distribution maintainers often package Calibre with non-compatible dependencies.

Try installing the Linux binary version from www.calibre-ebook.com.

It's a bug in 0.8.18. I've committed a fix which should be in 0.8.19.
