The note from hell...

Ok,

I am into the iLiad for about two days and I finally got around
to scribbling a note.

The bad news is that I cannot figure out how to delete the
rascal.

I have selected the note in the note directory and tapped the
trash icon, it turns black and after a second or two the 'cursor'
moves to the previous item and the note is still there.

If I select the note to be deleted in the notes directory and
tap the trash icon and then quickly tap the file name the cursor
sometimes jumps from left to right a few times and then
nothing happens...

If the note is displayed and I tap the trash icon nothing happens
(it is a four page note I accidently added three blank pages).

How can I delete a note?

In the Content Lister,

1. Tap the trash icon.
2. Tap the item(s) to be deleted.
3. Tap the trash icon again to delete the selected item(s)

Well, to be fair, I have a "note from hell" that won't delete -- even following the directions. I think it's a corrupted file. I haven't had a chance to tackle it from a different OS yet. So that's what I thought grayfox meant when I first read this thread.

I've had files that wouldn't delete, because I tried renaming them from the PC without updating the manifest (or something like that, I seem to recall), and then I tried opening them on the iLiad, and that "broke" it. After that, they can't be deleted unless you reformat.

to continue this thread, I have a note with a blank page in the middle, because I hit the "new page" icon when I meant to hit the "eraser" icon right next to it. So how do I get rid of the blank page in the middle of the document? I thought it might be the sequence "trash-can, select page, select trash-can", but that doesn't do it.

And I HAVE read the manual, but cannot find a way to do this. Anyone?

With note open on the blank page, Trash Can>tap anywhere on the page>Trash Can.

Works with 2.11 only I think.

Thanks! That did it.

I was hitting "trash-can", then "the page icon at the bottom of the screen" (the big page number in the page-location-within-the-book slider gizmo), then "trash-can" again. Never thought to touch the page where the contents appear.

Did I miss this in the manual or is it a hidden function?
