seeking an audiobook

So I have loaded an mp3 file in the audible folder. It works , but I am wondering if there is a better shortcut to seek forward in time. Current implementation is if I have to go 10 minutes forward, I have to (click right , click ) repeat 20 times . Is there a better way ?
Also sometimes kindle doesn't remember the seek position of my audiobook. Sometimes it does. Why ? I read that it's something to do with going back to the homescreen.
