Adobe Flash
I am new to the Edge and have been trying to open some sites I use for work on the Edge. They are requiring Adobe Flash 9 which I found out is not supported by the Edge. Is there anything out there I can utilize?

Full Flash support (for 10.1) won't be available until the device upgrades to Android 2.2 (right now it's using 1.6). AFAIK, there is no way to enable Flash without Android 2.2.

I have always wondered about the recently included Flash lite. Is it useful for YouTube only?

Flash lite support only basic animation and text, so.... there's many banners and advertising displayed now
![]() Trully there's some library sites that work well with flash lite. But I need flash10 for web cam \ streaming video and P2P. Unfortunatelly I allready checked that it's absolutly impossible to run flash 10 on anything early than android 2.2 (so if next update will be based on 2.1...;-() |

there is a flashplayer working for 2.1. However without jit enabled (2.2's huge boost in performance) performance on sub 1.2ghz devices is abysmal. On my droid when running cyanogenmod 5 with the 2.1 flashplayer, most videos are flat out unwatchable slideshows. With Jit enabled in 2.1, there is a substantial improvement if you negate the constant FCs.
