borisb, you should change your screen name to "QuickDraw Boris." :-)

Knew I'd be the first to ask. You'd think we'dve learned better by now.

F..k I used arrow keys very offen
And arrow keys was the only reason why I use default EE keyboard.
Does anyone know alternative keyboard with arrow keys (or even better with "Next\Prev Page" keys)?

Nice update, went very well with the new indicator. Keyboard works good with two hands, but I also like the left/right and up/down keys back. The hide-key is very handy, though. Many thanks to Entourage, I love my eDGe more and more every day.

The loss of those keys is a setback. Correcting typos is now a pain. I do love the ability to type with two hands though. That's fabulous!

Arg! What were they thinking? Maybe there's something hidden that lets one choose to show cursor control keys?

Looks like I'll be whipping out the Solidtek mini USB keyboard more often.

I noticed the trackball can move from character to character like the arrows keys did, rather than jump fields. Hmm, did it always do that?

Hmmm... I don't know, but I'm glad to learn that it's possible now.

I prefer the look and feel of the new keyboard, but I, too, miss the arrow keys.

Yes the old version of the software did let you use the trackball for arrow commands within a text field. I just tested it while the next update downloads.

Not sure I'll be happy with switching from hands on the keyboard, to rolling the trackball, to hands back on the keyboard. My fingers may have to learn some new tricks, since it sounds ergonomically challenging. But I'll give it a whirl.

Yea I was the guy who lost a bet because of that.

In terms of losing the arrows on the new keyboard, I find it very easy to use the track ball to correct typos and I think it's even faster than using the arrow keys

The keyboard is slightly "taller" than the old one. Another row would make it even taller. We came to the same conclusion you did: that the navigation of the cursor is just as easy by using the trackball and we could make the keys larger and easier to press (minimizing typos) and not lose any functionality.
