Kno dual screen copycats eDGe
See the Kno Dual Screen thingamabob at engadget. (It's an edge wannabe).
Good points: Big, color screens are pretty. Bad Points: Way too heavy. People complain about the 3lb edge. This is 5.5lbs. Good if you're into building biceps Too buggy/unfinished/unstable (according to the hands-on reviewers it crashed a lot). Way too expensive. ("under $1000" usually ends up being $999.98) The user interface appears dedicated to specific use by the student demographic. The hinge appears to be flexible flat cables, so it is unable to hold its own screen up in a laptop-like configuration like the edge can do. That's my take on it. my first thought when reading the headline was "ooh, an alternative, maybe this will force the market a bit". After reading the same article you did, I agree, it looks like the eDGe still wins out, even if it might have some polish left that ought to be done (a matter of taste)

If it doesn't have an eInk screen, then it wouldn't really be competing with the eDGe, IMHO. And 5.5lbs is way too heavy for an eReader. I don't think that Entourage has anything to fear. If anything, more non-phone devices running Android may prove a net positive, as it will mean a larger app market.

I like it. I am going to buy one. I always wanted to own something that nobody else has.

Note that they use IPS displays which is much better quallity then TNT LCD in EE. So seems it will concurent with ipad. But trully, I'd prefer one 14' ISP display for the price lower than 500, than heavy double screen with low battery life for 1000$

If you want to join me on Tom's Hardware's discussion talking about the eDGe as a better alternative to this device, log in and comment on:

I like having an e-ink side. That device is too big and clunky. The edge is on the heavier side but its manageable. This one is excessive.
