The Menu (physical) button is your friend!
I know I need this reminder from time to time. I'd never used an Android device before this one, so I don't have prior experience to go on, but seems like every time I find myself confused or looking for a function that I'm convinced must exist in an app, sure enough, if I hit menu, it's there.
