I am skeptical to say the least... but I'd kinda like it to be true. That extra resolution could be great for comics and magazines.

iPhone apps might look even worse scaled up to 4x though.

I would like the extra resolution, but mainly for books - at the moment i prefer reading on the iphone4. For comics and magazines the ipad is already fine.

Eh, I guess if you're viewing them in the vertical orientation one page at a time. Two page spreads are almost never sharp enough IMO.

Ah, i get it - you want a more magazine experience. Of course the higher resolution would be good for that, but aren't the pages still a bit small on a 9.7'' device in a horizontal layout?
