Help with Downloading

Okay, so I've been trying to download ebooks onto my new nook. I have an epub file and a pdf file saved o my computer, but whenever I plug my nook's usb into my computer it says its charging and the computer doesn't have a thing popping up saying about it being connected or anything. I also don't fully understand exactly what to do after I've had my nook connected.Please post if you can help. I'd really appeciate it.

The best thing for you to do is go to the B&N website and view the video on "sideloading." It will step you through what you need to do. As far as the usb connection is concerned It sounds like you need to be sure your nook is charged first.
