People have been laughing at just the mere mention of the word “SHRINKAGE” ever since George “claimed” his was due to overly cold pool water and I hope that laughter continues with the release of the my first, somewhat to possibly mildly raunchy, (but with a lot of heart, okay maybe just a little heart) novel titled SHRINKAGE.

Yes, the complete purchase price. I’m even covering the online retailers cut for the first 100 purchasers. After that 100% of my portion of the proceeds will be donated, which is just over $2 for each book. Beagle Rescue Charity (puppies)

My family lost our beloved nine-year-old Beagle, Annabelle, over the summer to a host of illnesses. It was horrible watching her deteriorate so quickly at the end and we are still recovering. We would like to do whatever we can to help the Beagle breed in her honor.

Prostate Cancer Research Charity (prostates)

I’m in the middle of a four-year-long ordeal where multiple PSA tests (the only recognized non-invasive test used for diagnosing the suspicion of Prostate Cancer) have suggested I may have Prostate Cancer. I’m not happy with the test and I’m equally unhappy with the two prostate biopsies (one of the most invasive tests on the planet!) I’ve submitted myself to over the last three years where each result was inconclusive and the suggested course of action was to simply repeat the test... I’ve agreed to submit to another biopsy in late January 2011, since my PSA continues to climb slowly. As my prostate continues to be turned into swiss cheese, during those expensive, invasive “looking for a needle in a haystack” prostate biopsies my hope is that donations to this charity will one day aid in the discovery of better Prostate Cancer screening tests and treatments.

Military Family Charity (privates)

We can’t do enough to support our military families, especially when they return home and are struggling to adjust back into civilian life. I’ve chosen a charity whose goal is to: “help those seeking resources for: themselves and combat-weary service members returning home from war with fragile mental heath, for optimistic-but-anxious children separated from parents during deployments, for spouses forging ahead with educations to build better lives for their families or to prepare for the unthinkable, for widows seeking information about benefits available to them as they cope with their losses, and for proud parents of single service members.”

So you choose…

All you need to do is buy a kindle copy of SHRINKAGE for 2.99 on 12/24/2010, forward your email receipt to shrinagePPPP@gmail.com and in your subject line specify puppies, prostates or privates. Or if you can’t decide, don’t specify in your email and the money will be spread equally among the three.

Official Rules and Legal Disclaimer

Offer ends December, 31 2010 at midnight EST. the author will donate the full purchase price for the first 100 copies of the book shrinkage (kindle edition) purchased on 12/24/2010 where the kindle receipt is forwarded to shrinkagePPPP@gmail.com on 12/24/2010.

Gift card giveway: A winner will be chosen at three times on 12/24/2010. First at noon EST on for all purchasers who have emailed their valid receipt by noon EST. A second winner will be chosen at 2:00 PM EST for all purchasers who have submitted their receipt between noon EST and 2:00 PM EST and a third winner will be chosen for all purchasers who have submitted their receipts between 2:00 PM EST and 6:00 PM EST. Value of the gift card will be based on number of entrants for each contest period and will be one dollar for each entrant with a minimum value of 5$ and maximum value of 25$.

In order to designate which charities will receive the purchase price from each purchase, purchasers must make their charity designation by December 24, 2010. If a purchaser has not designated a charity by December, 24 2010 the full donation will be equally divided among the three charities.

Donations from 12/25/2010 – 12/31/2010 will be based on the online retailer’s sales reports of the book.
