Kindle DX 3G hack font 2.5.5?

Hi,
I have just new kindle DX (graphite) free 3G with 2.5.5 firmware.

I want to fonthack it for cyrillic and wanted to ask is the link here is out of date or the hack (it says for 2.3) is OK? and should it be jeillbroken first or?
