I tried the method in post #745 several times, with no luck on both the Glo and Aura HD

But then I wipped all my downloads and files on the Kobo's + factory default to start all over again.

Installed the fw 4.6.10075,
installed the KoboRoot.tgz from https://github.com/gtalusan/kobo-nightmode and after install I replaced the nightmode.ini with the one from the extra directory.

And now it's working!
I can use the light-button-long-press or use the brightness slider

Yes. The image opens and changes to negative. Then you can return to the menu to select books normally.

Thank you for your work, what is with the calibre database after you have installed this Patch, is it ok ?

Edit: I have tried this Version, it works on my KA1, but the calibre Database crashed, after the installation!
