I think this encapsulates my issues with SG as I’m trying it on; the nuisance aspects are getting in the way of the substantive. I will persist and try not to be overly distracted.

I’m toying with the idea of committing to both as I’ll obviously be doing in the near term anyway; it could have some advantages especially if I limited SG to my serious interests and kept GR as a master list of everything. But I also think that’s kookie talk; over the past ten years or so I’ve become much less interested in managing and massaging my books and reading and just do the bare minimum. Choosing one or t’other would be best.

I appreciate your thoughtful response to my points; it’s valuable input as I negotiate SG.

So, I was looking through the Storygraph roadmap and comments and found out that there is a Browse Books page which I have never seen before. What's interesting is that one can use the usual SG filters to drill down into the whole database. I like it, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get there without the link. I'm probably being dense, but I cannot see it on the homepage or the profile page.

Thanks. I signed out of my account and now see the "Browse" to the right of "Popular This Week". That works. However it isn't visible when signed in, and I'm always signed in. It's not a big deal now that I have it bookmarked, but I'm a little surprised that it's not linked on the user homepage.

The owners have been talking about a number of UX improvements coming in the beginning of 2023. It will be interesting to see the changes.

I stay signed in too but I don't have it bookmarked, so when I go to SG's home page, I click on the sign-in link and it opens a new tab with my stuff on it (after telling me I'm already signed in). I really should use bookmarks more.

I have a total of 3 TSG bookmarks - 1 for the main homepage, one for "add a book" and one for DNFs - extra useful now that DNF stats are live

I've got the homepage, the Reading Journal, my tag page, Browse, and Read Books (not really necessary, but I've been doing a lot of clean-up).
