The central concept behind the College Cookbook was to develop a list of recipes that all of us could use in a pinch when we want a delicious meal, but are limited on time and materials.
. . . .
I can think of quite a few other people who might use such a cookbook. There are bachelors who don't like to cook, people on lunch break who work at a grocery store (so getting the ingredients is not a problem) who want a quick, good meal (a microwave is generally the only cooking appliance in a break room), a mom (or father, if he is the one who cooks) pressed for time to get a meal out for the family. I got this book that you posted for myself, as one who often wants to just stir up something quick and good.

I bought a cheap or free ebook a day or two ago that was all about meals that you could fix your child for his lunchbox. I don't have a child in that situation, but the meals looked so tasty, and there were lots of recipes! I got it for myself!

So, I think that this is a great find. Thanks.

My family was an early microwave adopter so I have been doing real cooking in a microwave for a long time.

A pbook I have been using for a long time is Microwave Gourmet by Barbara Kafka from 1987 so used hc and pb can be with you for $4.00

http://www.amazon.com/Microwave-Gour...dp/068806843X/

Also Microwave Gourmet Healthstyle Cookbook by Barbara Kafka for the same minimal price.

Here's the Recipe Book for Lunch Boxes, that I Mentioned in a Post.

I started to feel pangs of guilt about mentioning this book in a post a few hours ago, and the fact that it was a book that I had not posted. Kind of mean of me, huh? So . . . . I found the Amazon webpage for it, and noticed that it's still marked down. I'm posting it now.

As you can see, the book's got great ratings, and a huge markdown (90% from the digital list price). Of course, I never post one, and rarely buy one, that doesn't have both of those.

Oh, those pangs that I was feeling . . . . it was probably just hunger from going too long without eating. ha

Here's the ebook.

Best Lunch Box Ever: Ideas and Recipes for School Lunches Kids Will Love. By Katie Sullivan Morford. Rated 4.6 stars, from 53 reviews at the present moment. Print list price $24.95; digital list price $19.99; Kindle price now $1.99. Chronicle Books, publisher. 156 pages. http://www.amazon.com/Best-Lunch-Box...okbubemailc-20.

Book Description
Best Lunch Box Ever is full of recipes, ideas, and strategies for packing creative and healthful lunches for kids, solving what is for many parents the most taxing of daily chores. Kids will love the scrumptiousness, while busy moms and dads will appreciate the quick and simple solutions for wholesome, balanced meals developed by Katie Sullivan Morford, a registered dietician and mother of three. The 65 recipes are easy, delicious, and—best of all—packed with nutrients for well-rounded lunches and snacks, including Deconstructed Caprese Skewers, Easy Cheesy Thermos Beans, Pesto Pita Pizza, Cinnamon Wonton Crisps, Parmesan Kale Chips, Crispy Applewiches, and more.

Not to hurt your feelings but I have at least 50 dessert cookbooks and at least another 300 that have desserts in them.
Not to mention I am rather broke since I spent my allowance (lol) on a new bread maker.
I have like 8 microwave cookbooks. Now if someone really wants me to love them, I am seriously lacking in cooking for 2 cookbooks.

Are you saying that there are 2 particular cookbooks that you want, but don't have? If so, which ones are they? I'm not trying to get love asking this(ha), I really want to know.

Quite a few have shown up on the markdown lists in the last 3 or 4 years. I'll try to remember your interest in them and when I see a good one either post it or PM you with the information.
