I actually never look at the front page (uses saved browser tabs), but I am subscribed to the "Announcements" thread, which is how I learned about the contest.

I saw the announcement, but didn't enter as Chance has it in for me. In any random draw, I'll lose - even if I'm the only entrant.

The unversive is a harsh, harsh mistress and I'm her whipping boy...

However, if the contest were about skill, say maybe burping the alphabet, I'm all in!

I have zero anxiety because I've never won a thing in my moo-hanking life.

I entered for the fun of it, and for the daydream of owning something coveted, if only in my head.

It was fun to enter the contest and equally fun to praise and support a place that has given me so much exceptional reading material; that has been so helpful to me in finding the best e-readers, buying them cheaply and formatting and fixing books of my own.

In that sense, I've won already. Expecting more might even sound a wee Hank greedy.

Best of luck to everyone who entered! I entered yesterday. I feel like this is the first contest we've had here in a while - I really enjoyed the mystery contest we had a while back, with the story being told in instalments.

I link directly to the main page because sometimes it asks if I'm ready to catch up with what all the "cool kids" at MobileRead have been doing.

That makes my day since it reminds me that, hey! I'm a cool MobileRead kid, too!! so I haven't changed my link to anything else.

Apparently, it doesn't take much to amuse me.

If I win, I will get the Paperwhite. My husband has taken over my Kindle and it needs replacement.

I don't have very much luck at these things though.
