Clearly, I'm a little late to the gelaskin party, but I was wondering how well these things protected the eDGe. Those of you who have purchased: are you pleased? Would you purchase again? Is there something better out there?
Thanks in advance for the input! |

I bought one of these skins when they first became available. For the eDGe, they only cover the outside, not the interior or the screens.
The skin was super easy to apply. It has somewhat of a soft vinyl feel, and protects the eDGe exterior very well, and hides smudges and most scratches. None of the edges are showing any signs of peeling. |

Thanks for the info, Boris! I would have guessed you to be the first to respond
![]() So, if you had to do it over, you would by one again? Or, have you found something much better out there? |

I've already ordered one for the Pocket eDGe, before I've even ordered the Pocket eDGe, so that would be a "yes".
www.decalgirl.com offers a similar product, but I haven't tried it. It's a bit unclear to me whether or not these skins (from either company) can be removed and reapplied, so I'm sticking to one skin for each. |

Thanks Boris!
I saw some postings from a very enthusiastic supporter of decalgirl.com's product here on the forum. Has anyone else used products from that site? |

Actually I am currently using the Decalgirl cover. I changed my mind multiple times about which one to get and finally ended up with Haiku. Decalgirl provides cover for both the inside and outside. I had to be careful but I was able to get all the pieces on perfectly with no air bubbles. The center cover for the speaker my be a little misleading on the website, it doesn't cover the complete middle. At the angles they show you on the website it covers but when you close the book all the way or open it all the way it exposes part of the middle hinge part. That hasn't been a problem. The cover looks great and I really like the way the inside looks. I would recommend. Just keep in mind while it covers majority of the device it does not reach the very edge on the outside of the device, again this has not been a problem.
P.S. I emailed to ask them if they would provide covers for the Pocket eDGe. They responded last week stating they would discuss it at they Thursday production meeting so I think there's a very good chance they will take care of the Pocket eDGe as well. I really like the gelaskin. I liked the one for my EE so much I went and bought one for my iphone. You can take them off and reapply. I took the one side on and off about 6 times before I was satisfied and I don't have any spots or edges that coming up. They are made of one of those fabulous 3M products. I highly recommend them.

I received my GelaSkin today, unfortunately it was was a standard size Edge not the Pocket Edge. Rather than send it back I used half for my net book and the other half for my Pocket Edge.
My GelaSkin. I still have to trim a bit, not the perfect fit, but I like it. ![]() |
