Thank you for the recommendation. I've got the first book, but first I need to finish another series before I'm allowed to start this one. Which is a good motivation to continue with my series, since I've been neglecting them so far this year.

Rehydrating after my 5k row and listening to my Spanish lesson for the day. My wife wants to learn, so we are studying together.

Today we reported the fraudster using our store's name and Chamber of Commerce number to defraud people on Facebook.
The officer was very honest about the chances that it was going to be investigated, since we haven't got any monetary, "just" possible damage of reputation. This is something we had also figured out. But we wanted to give the police all the information we have gathered over the past week; name of FB profile, name in FB URL (different from his profile) and the two bank account numbers and two different names connected to those accounts. If someone who did get defrauded reports it to the police, they will have more information. Meanwhile, the fraudster removed all his ads from the marketplace on Facebook. There are two ads that mention his name, that he copied those ads and used it to defraud people. The whole process took almost two hours. But hopefully it'll help. |

"60 Minutes" had a piece on John Le Carre last night. Actually, his books are about spies, which may be more "thriller" than "mystery". Those are frequently lumped together though. [And I just realized that this isn't the "mystery" thread, so it doesn't MATTER!]
Anyway, that made me realize that, while I knew his name, I haven't read them! At least, not since 2008 when I've been keeping a list. So I've downloaded the sample for John Le Carre's first book, since starting in order is very much my thing too. 1961, "Call for the Dead". |

Preparing to start representing pro bono clients... I haven't touched some of this law since law school... which was a while ago.

Getting ready to go to a meeting that's nearly 60 MILES away (sigh). I am not the world's happiest driver, either. I don't really love all that driving. Bu**er.

Enjoying my morning (well, except for that nasty surprise calibre threw at me). Thursdays are my "late" day (I go in at noon and work til 8 p.m.)
The cats are in assorted sun puddles around the house, Chris is in his office listening to music while he works, and I'm about to go start getting ready for work. I love Thursdays. |

And tonight it drops down to 4F temperature. Plus a lot of windchill beyond that!

Apparently suffering from a norovirus. Came out of nowhere. Sore throat like strep, and the horrid "from both ends." GOD.
