Trying not to get annoyed.

The students next door are having a party in their attic, which is right next to my bedroom. At the moment the music is loud but too loud (at least for inner city standards). It isn't even 10 pm and it could be that it'll be quiet at a decent time (which in my opinion is before 1 am). But from experience I'm afraid it'll be a nearly sleepless night.

Going by and asking if they can turn the music down doesn't help because they won't open door. Calling the police won't help either because they always ask if you tried going by yourself and if you say that they won't open the door the police tell you they won't go by because the door won't be opened for them either.

that it will be quiet at a decent time for once. I'm just wondering why they never throw a party on Saturdays (when the store's closed on Sunday so we can sleep in) but always during the week or on a Friday.

I read once where a guy got sick of his neighbours doing that so he taped the entire party and when they finally went to bed set up his stereo outside and pointed the speakers at them and let 'em have it.

LOL, my father talked with them and they turned the music down.
In the past I went by in the morning and stuck a toothpick in the door bell so it wouldn't stop ringing. Unfortunately their doorbells don't work any more so I can't do that to take revenge.

To be honest, in the past there were a lot more problems than at the moment (knock on wood). Now they have a party every couple of months and not every weekend. If they would come by and tell us when they have a party (and keep the noise down) it would be less of a problem because you can keep it in mind and are not surprised.

I'm looking for word associations while waiting for my wife to get out of the bath so we can watch a movie. For example.. Geoff mentioned 'flu' and my flight of fancy turned it into

A flea and a fly in a flue
Were caught so what should they do?
Said the flea to the fly let us fly from the flue
So the flea and the fly flew!

Can you tell I'm bored? How can one woman take soooooo long just to take a bath?!?

Tonight from 8pm until 2am almost all the museums in the inner city are open for the Museumnight. This year's theme is darkness, I know that the Aboriginal Art Museum next door has guided tours in the dark, the University Museum has scary things on display and the Money Museum (which isn't in the inner city) has set up in one of the courtyards off the church square.

I'm hoping there are still tickets on sale so my sister and I can other, otherwise we'll walk around in the city looking at the various decorations of the museum.

If I do that, she comes in in the middle, can't pick up the thread (especially if it's in English) gets bored and then falls asleep.

It is so great to be home

I spent the first day and a half in bed due to illness. Getting better now and have done my Sunday work. Playing on MR (wearing only underwear)

Just downloaded "Crime & Punishment" by Dusty Esky (or sommat) It always looked too daunting in pbook format.

Maybe I will hop back into bed to watch some shows that bloke kindly recorded for me whilst I was away. So much leisure time so much to do!

Did I mention that my coffee machine has been working again? wow that might be why I feel too spinny! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

No more coffee for me today.

I found out that I don't have to pay for the wifi because my provider is the company who provides that service in the park I'm going to.
