You'll need to download Adobe Digital Editions and authorize DE, your PC, and your Pocket Pro, but that's a one-time chore. When you buy ePub books they download an .ACSM file to your PC. To get the actual book you double click the ????.ACSM file and, if you have authorized your copy of Adobe DE, the book will download and unencrypt into the Adobe DE library on the PC. Do a search on the PC for *.epub and it will locate the book you just bought. Copy that to the SD card. If you've already authorized your Pocket Pro just put the SD in your PPro and turn it on.

It sounds a lot more complicated than it is.
yeah I realized that after I said it, that is why the next sentance I said I need to get the adobe.

I noticed I am not liking PDF's too much on my Astak e-reader. I read about 3 Mobi's on it and I am so used to that.

Agreed. PDFs are a poor eBook format unless they are intentionally setup for the smaller screen. There are a few like that on Mobileread. ePubs are better although some publishers use margins that are too wide or left justify the text.

Defiantly shop around. I've been eyeballing the Dexter books, booksonboard wants full cover for them (which is between $16-$25) but Barnes & Noble they're $8ish. However booksonboard is $0.50 cheaper for Beverly Conner books.

yeah that inkmesh site is a save though.

But finding a lot of books I want are in audiobook form.

I want the Prestige so bad. I already have the audiobook, and I would love the ebook to go with it. Perfect combo. Though all I find is the audiobook.

The "Adobe Digital Editions" are PDFs (BoB says that they could be either PDFs or ePubs, but they are almost always PDFs). Both will work but generally ePubs display better than PDFs - so choose the ePub.

Cheap? Try the Usenet and search for groups that have in title "ebook" (no quotes).

My bad, search on "e-book" too!

Please look at our wiki for all the eBook stores that could be found. Add more if you find any. Near the bottom is a list of search engines that can be the books you are interested in.
