Not really. The Asus is a great little netbook, sturdy and pretty capable. And it also has a 1024x768 'compressed' screen mode that is accessed via a single button push (skinny silver button, second from the left at the upper left of the keyboard), as well as a 1024x768 expanded mode (that scrolls the desktop vertically).

I use mine for work with an external monitor too. Just plug and play!

Also, there's Mac software coming out soon (I suppose with the new releases, end of the month). That might be the end of a lot of problems...
