Perhaps. But as the problem first occurred in the middle of a system update, i.e. writing to the microsd, and the fault has worsened since removing, testing, replacing the microsd... there's certainly evidence it could be the microsd at fault.

EDIT: Apologies, confused this thread with another where the user experienced a problem after an upgrade. Less evidence that it's the mocrosd card... but if you have the time and don't mind picking up some new skills it couldn't hurt to try.

If you have a spare 8GB+ working microsd to hand, there's certainly no harm in trying to flash a working image to it. The only thing you'd lose is the time in trying.

I agree that it would do no harm to try to another microSD card.

If you want a copy of a Clara HD image, you will need to have Private Messages enabled before you can be sent the link. If you don't see that option in the "Edit Options" of the User control panel, you should post in the Requests to enable Private Messages thread to ask for PMs to be enabled.

Once you have PM access, post in the Kobo µSD Card Image Requests to request the link.
