I hope the new buyers find themselves here so they can get the most out of their experience.
I used to think that I was fairly technically savvy, but Android has knocked some sense into me. That being said, a simple search for some help with the EE led me here (I did not stalk the site during pre-order... I accidentally found out about the eDGe by trying to learn if you could annotate PDFs on the Kindle). I have found the forum invaluable, and I hope that the new owners will also. I agree, however, that the new owners may be even less comfortable with technology than I. I think Sarah's and Boris's ideas of somehow welcoming new owners in to the forum is a great one.

Hmm.. I don't know. Good question. Being Canadian, I wouldn't shop there. I don't see anything that looks like reviews, or a place to leave them.

As of today (8pm PST in the USA, MOnday 8 November), Amazon has just now posted a delivery date for my Pocket eDGe (pre-ordered 11/1/10) as 11/17-11/22. So, things are starting to move through their pipeline, or so it seems.

Seriously? Why would one purchase a Pocket Edge when one already has a full-sized one?

Seriously. First of all, the full-sized one is great, but a pain to drag around. I have become a minimalist. I refuse to drag a laptop either. Second of all, I like toys. He who dies with the most toys wins.

LOL Gotta say, the signature is funny. And I tend to agree with you, but I see Alefor's point...except about winning and dying with the most toys.

Agreed. The signature is great. A psychologist would have a field day with it. Remember Bill Clinton on TV.... "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman". Well, just kidding anyway.

Mainly because the smaller one is handier to carry around for non-work purposes while providing basically all the same features.

Well I have to save up for an Adam, so I won't be buying any other electronic gadgets for a while. You know, since I don't work for them.

It's like I need a drink whenever I read your posts, although I admit I sometimes have to chuckle

I have to save up for either, and I'd like both. And I just found out that my day job might be disappearing this summer (although it's been on the verge of disappearing for 2 years now-I am literally the last man standing at this company (long story)), so now I'm even more concerned about future finances. LOL Wonder if I'll ever get an Edge.
