I never read thrillers, because I'd rather err on the side of missing something I'd have liked rather than read something that will scar me for life (I've never quite recovered from reading The Tell-Tale Heart back in junior high ). But this sounds like a risk worth taking, so I've bought it and added it to my TBR pile anyway. Thanks! If I like it as much as I expect to, I'll be sure to write a review to let other fraidycats like me know. |

Eric, I think that was a great book! I started it this morning and just finished (and posted my review on smashwords). I hope you have more books coming (on smashwords- my new favorite place for books), this was definitely worth the read!

I have bought it, and put it in my 'To be Read' File, which is extensive. Cheers. |

Thanks, Grace, for that kind review. I'm even more flattered you read the entire book in one day! Yes, I've another book coming later this summer. To be notified I've just started a Facebook fanpage at: http://tinyurl.com/22no6wv I also have a co-written thriller available for the Amazon Kindle but haven't got it ready for Smashwords, iPad, Barnes & Noble, etc., but should be doing that this summer too. You can take a peek at it here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00347AI9Y |

But what I find interesting is that Amazon will sell DRM free ebooks. Not having a Kindle I never looked into DRM free books from them. The page on Amazon for your book doesn't say DRM free so I don't know how I could tell if other ebooks are also DRM free. Anyone know if DRM free Kindle ebooks can be converted with Calibre? I'm not talking about removing DRM. | |

FYI on the DRM free issue about 3-4 months ago Amazon gave all the indie authors the option of using DRM or not.

Thanks, Eric. Is there any on-screen indicator of DRM downloads?

My psychological e-thriller CRACK-UP has now sold 5,000 copies, earning 5-star reviews at Smashwords and at Amazon from 17 of 22 readers and 4 stars or higher from 95% of readers. Today it's on sale at Amazon for just 79 cents. It's going to $2.39 very shortly, probably within 24 hours, so order now at: http://tinyurl.com/3y8j9vl |
