nothing stupid about it, there are plenty of words i didn't know how to pronounce until i heard someone else say them.

it's something like "leez-uhz" ; the vowel sound in the second syllable is the same one in "hers" or "furs" (but without the r).

As with most words spoken by us Americans, we will get it wrong and then it will be too late to change it back because we would have put it in the dictionaries already.
