Breaks it how? The files off the Kindle can't be deDRM'd or the files downloaded to your computer are encoded differently somehow or???

I know if I can't deDRM books I won't be buying any.

Pdurrant, where can I go to read more on the de-drm situation? I buy my books but only if I can remove the DRM and save a drm free copy. This is serious for my enjoyment of the kindle. Thanks.

I don't understand the deDRM comment - once I import my books into Calibre, they are DRM free. So 2.52 would have to be unable to read books without DRM?

What he's referring to, I think, are posts that the new update somehow either changed the Kindle's PID or does something else to make the mobidedrm scripts not work anymore.
