OW! That's making a new Kobo seem reasonable in comparison.

I've dropped both my 505's and broken the end plates. It's just something that happens to me. The annoying thing (apart from the bad design) is that with my new one I've now broken the plastic strip that holds the reader into the Sony cover. So book-armor is out as an option. The M-edge covers look ok but I'm not sure how well they'll work (and at $50 shipped I'm cautious about experimenting).

@moz: I put in the order for the bottom bezel last month, but Sony tells me that it is back-ordered. A new eReader with a better design is sounding good to me.
