BlahTherapy: Whine online!

I was reading PsychCentral's blog, a must-read for those who have an interest in the musings of the mind, and they've pointed in one of their posts to a site that I find strange it wasn't made before... BlahTherapy. The idea is absolutely simple: there are Venters, and there are Listeners. As you can imagine, Venters are supposed to vent their troubles to Listeners, and Listeners listen and give advice. Everything is done completely anonymously.

I believe it will be of interest for everyone of us, whether we need to vent something or we like to listen... and if we write it could be a gold mine, for we can access to people's intimate experiences and build characters from them. Plus, it can make a lot of fun if you think about it, there are people who even in their darkest hour can bring you funny and interesting conversations.

However, the site has some drawbacks which obviously come from its beta status: the conversations only flash in a tab, so it's hard to keep track of the conversations if you multitask. Plus, the servers are not too stable and if you're a Listener, chances are that you will have to wait some minutes before you find a Venter. Still, with all its shortcomings of a Beta project, I have fallen in love with the idea and I'm going to try it these days.
