I just came in all sweaty from planting tomatoes. I ran out of sticks, and now need to return to the feed and seed store. Do I take a shower first? I'll certainty need another after I come back and return to the yard. Nah! I'll just dry off and share the love with the other customers!

Blossoms on the cucumber plants!!! Another handful of snap and snow! More tomato blossoms. Only actual tomatoes are on the grape tomato plant. Five of them. Beauties, they are, beauties. And after the store tomato I had with lunch, I am *really* looking forward to them getting ripe! Might be another hike later in the week. Might find new wild flowers to post. We'll see. They go in cycles. We had a bit of rain yesterday so some will immediately decide to go to seed! |

A nice balmy 50 and drizzley here!! For my sons soccer game it was 45 and there was snow!! Yard work is out this weekend, I'm hoping for next weekend now. We're getting 5 or 6 yards of dirt for some flower beds and an island feature in the front yard. Going to go look at trees this afternoon!!

Right now my garden is mostly dead sticks with only one plant that survived the winter. I've been haunting the garden stores to find more of this plant (identity unknown) but no luck. I'm trying to root some cuttings. It's been pouring off and on all day. Looks like another cool spell coming, so I'm not too anxious to plant anything just yet. |

Can there be danger of another frost in Florida? I live in SE Virginia, and according to the charts, there should be no danger of frost after the 20th of April.

Just back from some yard work. Trimmed the rose bushes back, trimmed several tree branches and re-growth there I've cut them off (near house etc). Still need to cut some of the longer branches up (for that trash pickup) and did not yet trim the 3 small wild rose bushes....maybe I'll do that later this afternoon.... oh and sprayed the dandelion festival that was congregating in my front yard.... |
