Agh! SPIDERS! [jumps into the air and winds up in the arms of nearest crew-member... Unless, of course, that's WD(E), in which it would be "paws".

Millipedes @ ft^2/s? I saw that movie... "The Incredible Huge-and-growing Quickly Millipede". It was a speculative fiction in which the 'pede out-grew the earth, and had to move to larger quarters next-door. And was subsequently eaten by aliens.

We have totally diverged from and plots, plans, or story lines I had. We're just tooling around the Atlantic. I wonder if this thing runs underwater? Probably not.

I don't know where or when we're heading, but we'll get there when we get there...

How 'bout a setup...

We're cruising and and generally goofing off... KK is fishing off the observation deck. With a shotgun. Geoff is playing pool w/ WD(E) (where did he get thumbs!? Geoff? No, WD(E))). Pshrynk is practicing palming coins, for when we get to the actual Aztec Gold(tm). PS, I personally think that Axtec Gold is a alco drink, but it could be a precious metal (instead of a precious liquid). Deb is getting antsy and wishing she had someone to beat up. I am realizing that I can't spell for crap, and trying to figure out the owner's manual for the zep. We eventually figure out the locks on the armory [Can you say "Phase plasma cannons"? Can you say "LAZXORS!!"? I knew you could.) dvsick is waxing nostalgic about things that go boom in the night.

At night, there's drinking, lieing, and howling at the moon. WD is drinking, I'm howling. Any liers? I don't believe you.

We go up to the top of the zep and shoot off fireworks. (yeay!)

The manual is in multiple languages, without any seeming pattern. I've figured out the Sanskrit part (and I figure out it's not "sans skirt"). Not doing so well with the cyrillic.

Pshrynk: "You know, I can make you a drink that will let you read Cyrillic."
Me: "Got anything that will let me read Alien?"
Pshrynk: "You need help reading your native language? Coming right up..."

"Hey guys! You'll never believe this! I've been reading the manual, and it says --"

"No, you'll never believe this. We've been listening to the radio in the lounge. You know, we pick up AM even in the middle of the Atlantic. Must be "skip". It's awesome. All the stations are playing old radio programs. It's like tuning across history."

"How long have you been listening?"

"For HOURS. What's in the manual?"

"The "radio reciever" is a time-tuner. As you listen, the ship develops an affinity to the time period you're listening to... It hones in on that time, and pulls toward it... things begin to change around ship. The area around the ship will stretch out and eventually snag or lock in to the time frame you've been tuning in. About where, or when, did you quit listening?"

"What happens to US?"

"Well, we can't very well reverse in time, TOO, we'd disappear. Everything outside, everything not touching the dirigible, changes. When did you-- what were you listening to last?"

"Well, what happens? Does the ship just disappear from view or suddenly pop up front of someone? What would happen if there was something in the same pl--"

"I DON'T KNOW! I - I... It's my first time. I don't know what's in the manual -- I can't understand half of it -- I don't ... Just tell me, what was the last thing you remember hearing?"

----
I have lines I haven't been able to use, so I'm tossing 'em out for whoever wants them. Use it at your own risk.
"Ignore the gun, I'm just here for moral support." Hey, Dubya D (E), you want that one? I'd give it a thumbs up.

Specific line -
Geoff: "What did she say?"
Me: "She said she liked the way you rolled your R's."
Geoff: "I like the way she rolls hers, too."
(Dialect joke).

Regular throw aways -
Deb: "It's been days and I haven't been able to kill ANYBODY!"
Everybody else: " ... "
Deb: "KIDDING! Jeeze, you're easy."
Me: "... Chocolate?"
Deb: "I'm going to kill you."
KK: "( heh heh heh )"

?: "You have a shark for a pet?"

?: "Where exaclty did you go to school?"
Me: "Technically, I attended a girl's reformatory. It was fun."
?: "But... you're not a girl."
Me: "That's OK, I was just there for the track team."

If dogs can play poker, they can play pool. (We're pretty 'handy' with those dewclaws.)

I all for mor(e)ale if it's cider. 'merican Cider, which is more Apple Juicey than Euro Cider -- less aley, and you can buy it in an alley, if you have an ally. Someone to watch your back, and back again. Or someone who won't bail on you if you need bail. I think.

deep in the deepest darkest cloud I wandered lonely along the outer decks. wondering ... waiting ... hoping ... praying.

a gaggle of geese fly alongside, mysteriously a huge arm snakes out from the bosses window, grabs a few of these lovely geese.

sighing with the futility of it all, and maundering on the lack of action seen so far (except for the ...... )

inside, in the galley, I find bodies, plucked, waiting ..................................
