I had the same error. Except instead of "86'd." mine said "Catch". I had a book titled Catch-22, I changed the title to Catch 22 and it went through fine. Do you have a book with the title beginning with "86'd." if so change the name and try again.

Failed to create Catalog V0.6.37
I tried creating my catalog (261 books) and I tried various options like checking the "sort numbers as text" etc, but same error message. Not a biggie and I suspect that you already are aware of this. I tried to generate my catalog today after the new software update to the nook, thats why I missed it earlier on.

@solitaire: Fixed in next release, but it would be helpful to me to know how the cover thumbnails are rendering on the Nook. I fixed a problem on the Sony where they were too small. Could you please build a catalog excluding the book with the problem '...3' in the title. You can just drag-select a few books for this build.
After downloading the EPUB to your Nook, could you confirm that the relative size of the thumbnail is about the same as the attached Kindle screen grab, and let me know the results either way. Other EPUB catalog users: Please report any thumbnail size discrepancies. G Last edited by GRiker; 02-06-2010 at 09:23 AM. |

Is the Sony thumbnail fix you mentioned in the future release, 'cos I want it provided it doesn't make the catalog generation too long-winded. |

@banjomike: Yes, the sony thumbnail fix is in 0.6.38. It adds no time at all to catalog generation, as it's using exactly the same image file. Only the <img> tag is different if your Output device is one of the Sony eReaders.

@GRiker: thanks for your response.
I created a catalogue of a partial list and that worked. The thumbnail is much smaller than the kindle sample you attached to your post. I would say that it is a 1/3 of its size. Having said that, it is legible. My 2C worth: It will be nice if this catalog is generated with the books listed in the display order at the time of creating the catalog. The reason I say this is Nook's ability to sort is very limited (Title and Author only). In this way, one could have books displayed in the order of purchase date, Genre etc. There should also be an option not to include the summary so that a list of books can be seen. Right now a book can span upto 2 catalog pages on the nook. If I may suggest, have a hotlink called Summary in this list that takes you to the summary screen and from there one could either go BACK or READ the book. |

I will tweak the image size in the next release.
The catalog is built in Author order, with Titles, Genres and Recently Added Sections by default. So it does what you're asking for already. If some Nook user knows how to embed an href that jumps to reading the book on the Nook, I'll be happy to add the code. G |

The list is currently sorted by Author and the other information is already there. What I was trying to convey was that if the catalog can pick its book sorting order from the way the books are currently listed on the screen. e.g. I normally have my books sorted by Date Purchased (Descending). So when I generate the catalog it should ignore the Author sort and use the sort order on the screen. Am I making any sense? |

Oops...thats what comes out of responding without due research. Thanks for pointing this out. This should address my issue...though having to navigate to the end of the document in Nook can be a big pain.
