Okay, my friend and I have finished the spot we were working on together and are going our separate ways to other projects. There is a possibility that he may work on more iPad stuff this weekend but nothing has been booked for sure. They have enough completed spots. I don't know when the spots will start to air but that's not unusual. For the most part those of us on the crews just see spots we've worked on at the same time as everyone else... when they start airing.

BTW, he asked me to clarify that "he" was not saying the iPad was "Kindle Killer" but he was hearing other people on the set say that (most likely the client and/or the advertising agency). There are quite a videos starting to pop up that we give us all a better picture of what ebook reading will be like on the iPad.

Does it have a user replaceable battery? If not that would be a deal breaker (for me) given the price.

Oh, okay, sorry, I'll stop being silly. ![]() Daffy knows someone who actually had hands-on experience with the iPad, and, by the sounds of it, ongoing hands-on experience. So, Daffy'd been getting them to check things out if possible...questions people might have. So, it wasn't just "I know a friend who's touched it", but "I know a friend who's touching it...any questions?". Ongoing hands-on is a nice added touch to a reviewsphere that contains a lot of necessary spec-and-video-watching. Is that what you meant? Cheers, Marc (who likes rambutans but hasn't tried durian) |

I love rambutan, mangoes and mangosteen!

As for durian... a friend of a friend knew someone who... who... TOUCHED a durian. If you have any questions, I'll try to ask my friend (if I have time). By the way Marc, have you read a book called The Windup Girl? Kind of cyberpunk/noir...Totally fantastic. Anyway rambutan features in the book and that's what made me think of it .

Having an iTouch my questions are:

	1. How well are the dictionary, note taking, integrated into the iBook app? 2. How do you send a document/spreadsheet/presentation that you create with iWork software to a printer or to a computer? Perhaps I am missing something but the only way I see to print/save a note I make on the iTouch is to email it to myself. It works but not the best solution. Is that how the iPad will work with iWork? |
