Am on the edge of my seat to know which of the 3ms it was that worked! Mostly because I just ordered both and can't wait to see if I can hang on to this baby. So disapointing to have eye strain after just a few hours of reading! Miffy, I'm in Canada, too. How long did it take to get your samples? Thanks for sharing, folks! |

I'm just wondering what you do if you don't have a company.. How did you fill out the form exactly, miffymiffster?

Yes, how did you fill it out; it looks like they want company information, use etc. Did you just say you wanted to try it with a sony reader?

Does anyone know of a US store that sells these? All I've been able to find locally is a mediocre static one from WriteRight.

I received an email back from 3M stating that I would be better served by going with either www.digikey.com or www.apioptics.com. I guess my request for a sample wasn't met with agreement.

I've got the ARMR200 sheets arriving today, and the sheets are a tad large for what I need, so I intend to do some tests with a half-sheet or the like. I'll make sure to take a few shots as I do. I will say that the Lexard stuff doesn't help. It doesn't hurt, but it doesn't help either. | |

Okay, the ARMR200 is definite out. Don't bother ordering it because it won't help. It doesn't make it better or worse, but instead seems to have the same sort of coating that the PRS-600/900 already have. So it is definitely either the gloss or light-control filter that the guy found that seemed to work. EDIT: Although I will say the ARMR200 works great on back-lit devices. I slapped my test sample onto my laptop with a glossy screen and the reflections were pretty much gone on the spot. Looks like it depends on a backlight and is mostly there to help the backlight overcome the reflection. Last edited by Kolenka; 01-22-2010 at 02:52 PM. |

hi there, sorry i've not been able to answer some of ur questions! anyway, the one that worked (and is still working) for me is: "ARMR200 anti reflective film with removable adhesive, MATTE VERSION" i am NOT recommending the gloss or light control filter, which are ALSO shipped with the label: "armr200" by 3m. So there are quite a few "ARMR200" films by 3m. i'm affiliated with a school so that's how i ordered it. you may just be able to type in your company info and ship it to your business address perhaps. and i did NOT specify that it was for the sony reader. i just said it was for a touch screen device. i'm going to check out those 2 other sites recommended by 3m just out of curiosity too. that was pretty helpful of them. Strange, since on the 900 (which seems to have the same sort of glare/reflection issues), the ARMR200 did nothing.
