Dont forget you may also want to get a case to protect it, a memory stick to hold more stuff, and a wall charger (sony doesnt include one), and you got to pay for tax (or maybe even shipping). That could add $20 - $200 bucks more depending.

I just ordered the 5" Astak Pocket Pro. As far as I know, it comes with a protective cover, AC-to-USB charger, and a USB cable. Even if it didn't come with the charger, I already have two that I use for my PMP. Shipping was only $12.50. So in total, I'm only paying $212.50. It's still over $200, but it's a lot less than $260 for a Kindle 2 and I'm not locked down mainly to one store. Oh and I already have a SDHC card (several large ones ranging from 4 GBs to 32 GBs), so I'm good on the memory expansion front as well.

About how long is the wait for the Astak reader?
